The new 2022 GV70 will be the Genesis luxury brand's most colorful model yet, if the U.S. configurator is any indication. It will be offered in many different interesting exterior colors, including red, blue, green, and even a few optional matte paint options. We also now know more about the various 2.5T and 3.5T models that will be offered when this new compact crossover arrives on our shores later this year.
Aside from the usual white, black, silver, and grey options, the GV70 colors that caught our eye most were the Cardiff Green and Barossa Burgundy. There are four matte colors available as well, including green, white, gray, and the same burgundy hue. The interior options are interesting, too, and include red and blue leather options in addition to the expected black and beige.
The base GV70 2.5T, which has a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four with 300 horsepower, will come in Standard, Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trims. The more powerful GV70 3.5T, which has a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 with 375 horsepower, offers Standard, Sport Advanced, and Sport Prestige models. All GV70s come standard with all-wheel drive for now, though it's possible the company will offer a rear-wheel-drive version eventually.
Genesis has yet to release pricing for this new model, but we estimate the 2.5T will start around $39,000 and the 3.5T will start around $44,000. Look for more information to come soon on this new crossover before it reaches U.S. dealerships later this year.
