the long-awaited audi e-tron gt will finally be revealed in a few weeks, and audi will show the electric sedan via livestream. a high performance rs e-tron gt with up to 637 horsepower is also set to be available by the end of the year, and audi claims it'll reach 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds.
the 2021 e-tron gt was developed alongside the porsche taycan and it'll have an electric motor on each axle, providing all-wheel-drive and a total output of 582 horsepower. audi says the standard e-tron gt will reach 60 mph in around 3.5 seconds, while the more powerful rs model will be substantially quicker. the standard model has an estimated driving range of 249 miles on the european test cycle, which falls short of the tesla model s long range's epa-estimated 402 miles of range.
audi has nearly shown the car in full already thanks to images of various camouflaged prototypes, and head of design marc lichte said that the production version will look similar to the concept car. additionally, the interior will be about 95 percent the same, meaning we'll see the same dual display that's currently inside the a8 and a7.
