chevrolet is giving its three-row traverse a makeover for 2021. while the updates are mostly cosmetic, there are improvements to the family suv's feature content as well.
the traverse's front grille is reshaped, which leaves room for a larger lower bumper area with a blacked-out section at the very bottom. this gives the traverse a more truck-like look. narrower headlamps sport integrated turn signals and daytime running lights and multi-element rear led taillights give the rear end some extra flair. four new wheel designs round out the exterior's styling changes, but so far chevy has only showed us two of the four designs–shown in the photos here on both the high country and premier models.

driver-assistance technology takes step forward in the traverse for 2021. these features were provided only as options on previous model years, but chevy is making a fairly comprehensive suite of tech standard across the range. standard features now include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, and a following-distance indicator with forward collision alert. adaptive cruise control is now optional on the lt, rs, and premier trims; it remains standard on the high country model.
we expect the traverse to hit dealer lots by the end of 2020. pricing hasn't been announced but buyers should anticipate a slight uptick in the base price of each of the traverse's various trim levels. the 2020 model starts at $30,995 for the base front-wheel drive l and tops out at $54,395 for an all-wheel drive high country.
