E Is for Extreme in Jaguar E-Pace Testing

Jaguar announced in June that its new E-Pace compact SUV is coming, but it hasn't said much about the E-Pace aside from the fact that it'll have standard all-wheel drive. Today, the automaker revealed that the system isn't just for show: Jaguar tested the vehicle in extreme conditions "to ensure not only extreme durability, but that the vehicle lives up to the Art of Performance philosophy," the automaker said in a statement.

Jaguar tested more than 150 E-Pace prototypes during a 25-month program in locations across the globe, including Germany's Nurburgring circuit, Middle Eastern deserts, high-altitude Chinese provinces and the Arctic Circle, racking up more than 120,000 hours of testing. We'll have to wait a bit longer for more information, though the E-Pace will be revealed on July 13. Watch the video in the meantime for more.
