Hellcat-Powered Hellcamino Is Santas Rad Ride

abimelec design
  • designer abimelec arellano created this rendering of a car-based pickup for santa claus.
  • the car is based on a 1969 dodge charger and is powered by a hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter v-8.
  • this isn't the first hellcat-powered car designed for santa, dodge built one based on a challenger hellcat redeye.

santa treated us well this year, as he does every year, but sometimes we forget to return the favor. sure, he likes the cookies and milk we leave him under the tree, but is that enough? no need to worry, because designer abimelec arellano has us covered and sketched up a sweet retro hellcat sleigh for old kris kringle so he can do burnouts on the way home to mrs. claus.

chrysler never released a car-based pickup in the early years of the chevrolet el camino and ford ranchero to rival the two. but if they did, we bet it would look a hell of a lot like what abimelec design conjured up as the hellcamino. and, because why the hell not, abimelec designs threw the hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter v-8 in the hood to make it that much better.

the rendering was conceived from a 1969 dodge charger, which is already a long car, although the back end of the roof is slashed off to fit a pickup bed in the back. it has the perfect amount of room for santa's bag full of turbos, wheels, exhausts, and other various car parts that he delivers to car and driver headquarters every year. the hellcamino sits on a nice set of matte-gray wheels with polished rims, and, like the hellcat-redeye-based sleigh that dodge built santa, it has a side-exit exhaust.

which hellcat-powered sleigh would he prefer? it's a good problem to have. you're welcome, santa.
