The automaker promises "world-first technologies, standout design and class-leading interior space." That jibes with our previous speculation that this was likely a hatchback or SUV.
Based on the existing evidence, is this a production version of the previously shown QX50 concept? That seems the most likely bet; SUVs are in high demand and Infiniti has been paring down its aging SUV lineup by axing models like the QX70.
The latest image hints at a strong front end complemented by a traditional large, latticed grille. If this is a production QX50, the concept's fanciful "human-eye" headlights have been replaced by more traditional but still modern units.
The 2017 L.A. Auto Show is approaching quickly. We'll see if Infiniti has time to release more teasers about this new model, or if the next step is the full reveal at the show itself.
