1. It Still Looks Good on the Outside!
Volvo has done a great job of merging its design language with the proportions of a compact SUV. Thor's Hammer headlights and muscular fenders make the XC40 look bigger than it is, although the "floating roof" look continues to be an obvious lie. There isn't really a bad angle to look at the XC40, but the rear quarters are probably the least appealing.
2. It Can Drive on Mountain Roads!
Just look at it carving up that road as only a Volvo can — cautiously and within all posted speed limits.
3. It Can Park!
The XC40 will be great at parking in front of chic storefronts; no need to worry about parking your car blocks away out of embarrassment.
4. Interior Functionality Didn't Trump Style!
We've written about the quirky and functional interior features of the XC40 before, but looking at these photos, it doesn't appear to have translated into any issues making a gor Geo us and very Volvo (read: nice and cozy) interior.
5. Red Interior Trim!
Red interior trim is available! Isn't that fun, and not at all what you'd expect from a Volvo , young people?
Be sure to check back for our own detailed photos of the XC40 coming soon.
