2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport: Recall Alert

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport: Recall Alert

Approximately 17,000 model-year 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport SUVs

The Problem: The bolt for the driver's seat belt anchor might not have been sufficiently tightened during assembly, which may lead to the driver's seat belt coming unanchored in a collision, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: Dealers will verify that the driver's seat belt anchor is properly secured for free.

What Owners Should Do: Hyundai will begin notifying owners June 30. Owners can call the automaker at 800-633-5151, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
