Jaguar has announced a more powerful version of its turbocharged four-cylinder gas Used Engine that will be available in the 2018 XE sports sedan, 2018 XF mid-size sedan and 2018 F-Pace SUV. Rated at 296 horsepower and 295 pounds-feet of torque, the Used Engine makes 49 hp more than the turbo four-cylinder in 25t trims and an additional 26 pounds-feet of torque.
The new four-cylinder goes in 30t-badged models, and it should deliver quick acceleration; Jaguar claims an all-wheel-drive XE with the new Used Engine will go from zero-to-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds, and a rear-wheel-drive XF will hit 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. The F-Pace SUV makes the dash in 5.7 seconds.
Like existing versions of those vehicles, the new four-cylinder teams with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the XE and XF, with all-wheel drive optional. The F-Pace has standard all-wheel drive.
